Sweden’s ruling Social Democrats party on Sunday said it will work toward the country applying for membership in the military alliance NATO. This came after Finland said it will seek membership in the alliance amid the Russia-Ukraine war. The party, however, said it was opposed to stationing nuclear weapons or permanent NATO military bases in Sweden.
