Over 20,000 people rescued after being displaced by Malaysian floods

More than 21,000 people were safely rescued who were displaced due to floods in Malaysia, reported state news agency Bernama. The government mobilised over 66,000 personnel from army and fire department for rescue operations. The authorities were also aided by civilians who evacuated stranded people across the nation. Meanwhile, PM Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the rainfall on Sunday was equivalent to that of a month.
