Karti Chidambaram summoned by CBI in bribe-for-visa case

Congress MP Karti Chidambaram has been summoned by the CBI for questioning in connection with the bribe-for-visa case. Punjab-based Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd allegedly paid Chidambaram and his close aide S Bhaskararaman ₹50 lakh for re-issuance of project visas for 263 Chinese workers in 2011. The Enforcement Directorate also filed case against Chidambaram on Wednesday.
