Former champion Garbiñe Muguruza knocked out of French Open 2022 in first round

World number 10 and Roland Garros 2016 champion Garbiñe Muguruza was knocked out of French Open 2022 in the women’s singles first round. Muguruza lost 6-2, 3-6, 4-6 to world number 46 Kaia Kanepi in two hours and six minutes. Meanwhile, world number six Ons Jabeur also crashed out of the tournament after losing to Magda Linette in first round.
