Deposit 10% of ₹200 crore penalty in 3 weeks: NCLAT to Maruti Suzuki

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) stayed the ₹200 crore penalty imposed on India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, by the Competition Commission (CCI). It, however, asked the carmaker to deposit 10% of the total amount within three weeks. The CCI in August this year imposed a ₹200-crore fine on Maruti Suzuki for allegedly restricting discounts offered by dealers.
