Deployment of Microsoft's AR glasses under $22-bn deal delayed by US Army

The US Army has delayed its plans to field Microsoft’s AR glasses, called IVAS, adding that it remains “fully committed” to the contract with the firm worth nearly $22 billion. It expects the first units to be equipped with the glasses by September 2022. The Army had earlier intended to deploy the glasses in its fiscal year 2021.
