Delhi court summons BJP MLA Vijender Gupta in defamation case

A Delhi court has summoned BJP MLA Vijender Gupta in a defamation case filed by Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot for allegedly defaming him in relation to the procurement of 1,000 low-floor DTC buses. Basis the evidence, prima facie the offence has been committed by Gupta, the court observed. Gupta defamed him “intentionally and for mala fide purposes”, Gahlot alleged.
