Bhumi Pednekar vows to use her voice for planet…
The ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ actor wants to use her voice to bring positive changes and she is hoping to utilize her online and offline initiative ‘Climate Warrior’ to aware citizens of India contribute towards protecting the environment.
Speaking to the media while addressing the issue of conservation Bhumi said that we often talk about climate crisis but we still have a long way to go to protect the environment. People should be more conscious about their daily activities to secure our future. However, she’s happy to see people talking about taking care of the planet more these days.
The talented actor said since she is now an established actor she has the power to reach out to more people. That’s what she has tried to do through her film roles. Bhumi feels she has to use her voice and social media platforms to look for positive change educating people about the adverse effects of climate change. Bhumi also urges every individual to take an active part in raising community awareness on environmental protection.
According to the ‘Pad Man’ actor, the increasingly unpredictable climate is a matter of concern. She says these extreme weather conditions will only become worse in the coming years. To this, Bhumi sights examples from recent research and data adding that it’s not an assumption now. But, the 32-year-old actor feels if we stay focused we can still make a difference. We can protect our planet. She vows to continue raising her voice collaborating with climate warriors and educate more people about planet conservation. Incidentally, she has also managed to bring Bollywood together to spread awareness about Mother Nature and the ill effects of global warming.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Bhumi Pednekar has three films in her kitty – ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Badhaai Do’ and ‘Takht’.
