Andhra Pradesh tops in curbing malaria, gets national award

Andhra Pradesh has emerged as the best-performing state in terms of curbing malaria and was awarded for it by the Union Health Ministry on the occasion of World Malaria Day on Monday. The state is said to have reduced malaria cases by over five times in three years – from 6,040 cases in 2018 to 1,139 in 2021.
