The number of people with inadequate access to water will rise to more than 500 crore by 2050, according to a new report from the UN’s World Meteorological Organization (WMO). In 2018, 360 crore people had inadequate access to water, it said. “We need to wake up to the looming water crisis,” WMO chief Petteri Taalas said.
