5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Jammu and Kashmir

An earthquake measuring 5.2 in magnitude on the Richter scale hit Jammu and Kashmir on Friday at 2:52 pm, as per officials. The quake took place at a depth of 260 km. Panicked by the tremors, people rushed out of their homes for safety, although there were no reports of injuries or damage to property, the officials further stated.
