30 civilians stuck on road amid heavy snowfall, avalanches rescued in J&K

Amid heavy snowfall and two avalanches, 30 civilians were rescued by armed forces on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday from Chowkibal-Tangdhar road in Jammu and Kashmir, an official said. The civilians were struck near Khooni Nala and SM Hill on NH 701. The rescued civilians were provided food, medical care and shelter for the night, Indian Army stated.
