100 ISIS-K militants surrender to Taliban in Afghanistan

Around 100 Islamic State-Khorasan (ISIS-K) militants have surrendered to the Taliban in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan on Tuesday, according to a local official. ISIS-K has carried out a string of bombings in the country recently, many of them mainly targeting the Taliban. Eastern Afghanistan is considered an ISIS-K stronghold since the formation of the group’s local branch in 2015.
